Woman tells police her name is Jennifer Lopez, hits officer

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Utica woman has been arrested after telling police her name is Jennifer Lopez, before striking an officer, according to UPD.

Authorities say that they responded to a Highland Avenue residence for reports of a domestic incident.

When the officers asked the woman for her name, she claimed to be Jennifer Lopez, Utica officers say.

Police say that the officers did not believe the woman and asked her to provide identification. The woman provided the officers with an ID card with her real name, 35-year-old Jessica Lara of Whitesboro Street.

While the officers were taking down the information, the woman pushed one officer and struck the other officer. The suspect was taken into custody and charged with harassment and criminal impersonation.
