(WKTV) - Work on the broken water main near Poland should start on Wednesday, a Herkimer water official said.

According to Scott Blaise, the Herkimer water and sewer superintendent, Tuesday was spent getting consent from land owners and getting legal documents in order.

On Wednesday, equipment and pipe fittings will be dropped off and crews are expected to begin work on the main tomorrow.

Blaise said he is hopeful that it will be finished in a few days.

For those who are having issues with water, bring gallon jugs and proof address to show you are effective to the Herkimer Fire Department on North Washington Street between 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. You will be allowed to fill up your containers.
