NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - An accident in the Yahnundasis Golf Club parking lot resulted in a loss of power for some area residents and businesses.

David H. Uebele, 32, Cold Brook was driving the Hudon Logging truck with the cherry picker still up, when it hit some power lines, snapping the pole at around 2:55p.m. Tuesday.

The accident took out power ranging from the Yahnundasis to Zebbs. National Grid was on the scene trying to restore electricity. Power was down for roughly 45 minutes.

The traffic signals controlling eight intersections in the area were also knocked out. New Hartford Police, New Hartford Fire Police and Kirkland Police officers manned those intersections and directed traffic until National Grid was able to restore power.

Uebele was ticketed for operating an over height vehicle and for operating a vehicle with a suspended drivers license. He will answer those charges in New Hartford Court on October 7th.
