Yorkville PD investigating pedestrian hit and run

YORKVILLE, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Yorkville Police Department is looking for the public's help in identifying a motorist that they say struck a pedestrian and then fled the scene in the early morning hours of May 30.

Police say the accident occurred at about 2:25 a.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2013 when the driver of a black or dark blue-colored Toyota Scion drove the wrong way through the Taco Bell drive thru on Oriskany Boulevard. Police say the driver then went next door to the McDonald's Restaurant and used the drive-thru there.

The driver of the suspect vehicle then exited the drive thru and continued to the front of neighboring Vista Lanes where he nearly ran over several people who were standing in front of the building. The driver of the Scion then turned the car around and drove at the pedestrians again, but this time striking a man and injuring him.

The vehicle was reportedly occupied by two white males and possibly sustained hood damage and a fractured windshield.

Police are looking for any witnesses to the accident and are asking anyone with any information possibly related to this incident to please call the Yorkville Police Department at 736-8331.
