Yorkville woman accused of prostitution

(WKTV) - A Yorkville woman is accused of prostitution after she was arrested Wednesday, Village of Yorkville police said.

Yolanda L. Velardi, 49, is charged with prostitution and loitering for the purpose of prostitution.

According to authorities, a investigation was launched after a complaint of prostitution on Yorkville's east side. Velardi allegedly offered a sexual act for money to a plain-clothed officer.

Velardi was sent to Oneida County Jail. She will appear in Yorkville Court in mid-July.
