CLINTON, N.Y. (WKTV) - Fourth and fifth graders in the Village of Clinton got out of class on Friday to listen to some stories all told by professionals.

The youngsters got a preview of Saturday Village Storytelling Festival which will take place on the Clinton Village Green.

Friday morning, professional storyteller Tracy Radocevic, of Baltimore, Maryland was on stage in front of several hundred kids, and they loved it.

"I think when a storyteller comes into a group of kids like this, it triggers the imagination," said Beth Tagert, a storyteller from Clinton. "Each child hears the story, but each child is making a little book in their own mind and turning the pages and telling their own story, if you get to see their faces you get to see what's going on in their imaginations."

Radocevic is just one of a number of performers headlining Saturday's event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. On Saturday in Clinton.
