Zonta Internation holds brunch to benefit woman's programs

By WKTV News

WHITESBORO, N.Y. (WKTV) - Zonta International is a worldwide organization that empowers women, and they raised quite a bit of money for that cause, Sunday.
Zonta held a brunch at Harts Hill Inn, in Whitesboro, filling the building to capacity.
The ladies of the organization raised more than $17,000 that will be used to support woman's programs.
"Most of the money will go to the Faxton-St. Luke's Breast Care Center," said Marilyn Skermont of Zonta International. "We also support the YWCA for Nonviolence Efforts Against Women.
"We have worked with Evelen's House, and many of the organizations around the city."

Zonta's reach knows no boundaries, as the organization also helps women in third world countries with healthcare, and anti-violence campaigns.
