Education Nation kicks off: How you can join the discussion

By WKTV News

The 4th annual Education Nation  Summit kicked off Friday with a ribbon cutting ceremony. It's a chance to shine a spotlight on critical issues related to education across the country. You can watch it live and also join in the conversation.

This year's summit is taking place at the New York Public Library from October 6-8th.

The question, "What it takes" to create student success in the classroom and beyond will be addressed this year.

Leaders in education, government, business and philanthropy will join top journalists and correspondents from NBC, MSNBC, Telemundo, and CNBC for a discussion that addressed both ideas and solutions for improving the state of education.

This year's summit will stream live at EducationNation.com and the NBC News YouTube channel.

You can join the conversation by using #EducationNation.

You can say what you think it will take to get students educated by using #What It Takes … for student success at EducationNation.com/WhatItTakes
