Wilmington woman arrested for drug sale

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (AP) - Almost three months after a North Country man was found dead, a woman has been charged with selling the kind of drug that killed him.

State police say 26-year-old Jennifer Pabins of Wilmington sold the prescription painkiller fentanyl to 28-year-old Jonathan Bathmaier of AuSable Forks several days before he died.

But police say there's no way to know whether those doses are the ones that killed Bathmaier.

Pabins is charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.
