Onondaga Co. Sheriffs: Body believed to be Jenni-Lyn Watson

CLAY, N.Y. (AP) - A body has been found in an area near Syracuse where police have been searching for a 20-year-old missing college student.

The Syracuse Post-Standard says the body was found Saturday near
Clay Central Park, but it's not clear whether it was Jenni-Lyn Watson. She disappeared after returning home for Thanksgiving break last week.

Onondaga County Undersheriff Warren Darby says the search was expanded and more than 100 people were hunting through 1,200 acres, up from 600.

Authorities say Watson went missing last Friday, a day after arriving at her family's home north of Syracuse.

She is a junior dance major at Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pennsylvania and is described as 5-foot-2 and 100 pounds, with dark blonde hair and brown eyes.
