LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (AP) - Fire officials in the Adirondack village of Lake Placid say they've rescued a cat from a tree, along with the feline's owner.

Officials with the Lake Placid Volunteer Fire Department tell the Adirondack Daily Enterprise that they received a report Saturday night that a person had gotten struck in a tree while trying to rescue his cat.

Firefighters used the department's aerial truck to retrieve the man and his cat.
