GLOVERSVILLE - Police in Fulton County are asking the public's help finding a Civil War musket and 11 other historic guns stolen from a Gloversville home.
The Gloversville Police Department tells local media outlets that two city residents were charged on Jan. 24 with stealing the guns during a burglary. The pair, 34-year-old Amy Simonds and 32-year-old Brandon Coopey, are in Fulton County Jail.
Police say the guns may have been traded or sold in the Saratoga County hamlet of Porters Corners.
The missing guns include the musket, five Browning shotguns, a Ruger Boy Scout Edition .22-caliber rifle, a Ruger 30-06 with a Monte Carlo stock, and a Remington Harley Davidson Edition 870 12-gauge. Also, a lever-action Winchester .22 Mag, a Remington 12-gauge 1187, and a Ruger stainless steel .22 target pistol.
Coopey is being held on a $50,000 cash bail and Simonds is being held on $75,000 cash bail.
