Small plane crashes on Lake Placid farm killing 3

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (WKTV) - According to reports from the Lake Placid News, three people died in a small plane crash on a River Road farm at around 10:30 a.m, Saturday morning.
New York State Police were called to the scene and confirmed the deaths stating that the the plane crashed and became fully engulfed in flames, with none of the occupants able to exit in time.
Police are not yet aware of the identities of the three victims, and they do not yet know whether the plane was taking off or landing when the crash occurred.
The Federal Aviation Administration will investigate the cause of the single-engine plane's crash, and state police are holding the scene for the FAA until they arrive.
The plane crashed on the property of Snowslip Farm about 40 feet from the road, among some trees. 
The Lake Placid Airport is nearby.
