State police find man suspected of shooting Walmart worker

QUEENSBURY, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities have located a man accused of shooting another man as he sat in a vehicle in the parking lot of a Walmart store in upstate New York.

State police say Thursday that the victim is a Walmart employee in his 50s who was hit with shotgun pellets fired around 9 p.m. Wednesday outside the store in the Warren County town of Queensbury, 45 miles north of Albany.

Officials say the man was treated at the hospital in nearby Glens Falls for injuries that aren't life-threatening.

A witness told police that the victim walked into the store after being shot in the torso. His name hasn't been released.

Raymond C. White, 54, was is in police custody at a Glens Falls hospital. He was transported there Thursday afternoon for an apparent drug overdose. Security officials recognized him and contacted troopers.

He is being treated under police supervision. His condition is not life threatening.
