Two adults stabbed in Amsterdam after kids argue
By Associated Press

AMSTERDAM, N.Y. (AP) - Police say an argument between two children playing basketball in Amsterdam leads to two adults being stabbed and hospitalized.

Authorities tell local media outlets that the argument broke out between two kids during a basketball game played late Sunday afternoon in Amsterdam, 30 miles northwest of Albany.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a man and a woman both had been stabbed in the chest and abdomen. Officials say they were taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening wounds.

Police say the attackers were at least two women who fled the scene in a vehicle. Officers later stopped a car and questioned four women inside. No arrests have been reported.
