STARK STREET MURDER SENTENCING
A Utica man is getting ten years in prison for his part in a robbery gone bad. This morning, 30-year-old Christopher White was sentenced. He took a plea deal in the case for his role in the death and robbery 54-year old Hungria Ferreira. The robbery and murder happened in 2007 at a home on Stark Street. Two others were also involved. One was killed during the robbery, the other has already been sentenced.

ATV ACCIDENT
Some scary moments for a young person riding an ATV in the Town of Vernon after being ejected from the machine. It happened yesterday on a back lawn near a parking lot at the Utica Rome Speedway. According to authorities, a "tie-rod" broke on the ATV broke, causing the machine to flip, and the kid to be thrown off it. He or she's name isn't being released. They were rushed to the hospital - no word on the extent of injuries.

NO SWINE FLU IN ONEIDA COUNTY
The test results of the fourth suspected case of swine flu in Oneida County has come back negative, according to Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente. Locally there's one confirmed case in Lewis County. Meantime, a World Health Organization spokesperson says the agency may raise its pandemic level to its highest alert. A "Level 6" alert would mean a global outbreak of swine flu is under way.

LOW POLL RESULTS FOR PATERSON
A new poll shows Governor David Paterson's public support continues to free fall, with just 19% of voters saying he's doing a good or excellent job. That's a 7-point drop since March. Worse for the democrat - the Marist College Poll shows just 22% of voters in his party think he is doing a good or excellent job.

NO DEAL FOR BOSTON GLOBE
The Boston Globe and its largest workers union have finished all-night contract-concession talks without a deal. Both sides are going back to the bargaining table. Two other Globe unions have reached tentative agreements on concessions aimed at keeping the paper from closing down.
