Head-on Collision Leaves one Man in Serious Condition:
A head on collision in North Bay leaves one person in serious condition Upstate Medical Center this morning. The crash happened Wednesday when according to authorities Kenneth Tousley lost control of his vehicle. He was attempting to avoid a stopped car in front of him. That's when he swerved into the path of another vehicle. Tousley had to be rescued from his car using the "jaws of life." This morning, Tousley is being treated for head trauma. The driver of other vehicle involved was rushed to Oneida Hospital and later released.

NYRI Submits New Request For Hearing:
Congressman Michael Arcuri is asking the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to reject a NYRI request. You may have thought NYRI had given up, but the company has put in a request for a re-hearing of its power line project. It withdrew its original application on April 3rd.

Bank 'Stress Tests' Released Today:
The government is releasing results of bank stress tests today. The tests measure whether any of the nation's 19 largest banks would need more capital to survive a deeper
recession. Regulators say many banks would, including Wells Fargo, Citigroup and Bank of America.

Wildfires Continue To Rage In California:
The governor has declared a state of emergency in Santa Barbara County. Officials report 3 firefighters have been injured battling the Southern California wildfire. Santa Barbara County officials say more than 13,000 people have been evacuated. More than 500 acres have been scorched by the wind-whipped blaze.

Mexico Schools Reopen Following Swine Flu Scare:
High schools and universities in Mexico are opening today for the first time in two weeks. The national shutdown was an effort to curb the spread of swine flu. Parents and officials have been tasked with disinfecting schools and monitoring millions of returning students for signs of the virus.
