Madison County Input On Partnership Plan :
Today the Madison County board of supervisions is letting everyone know what they think about new plans for a partnership between Oneida County and the Oneida Indian Nation. At 11 this morning, County Chairman John Becker is going to speak out about the plans. The partnership calls for the nation to pay the county $25 million over the next 10 years and the county will end its legal challenges to placing 8,000 acres of nation land into trust. You also have a chance to speak out on this issue. A public hearing is being held at Vernon-Verona-Sherrill High School next Monday, starting at 6:30 p-m.

Sullivan To Decide On Plea Deal:
State Police Investigator Matthew Sullivan will tell an Oneida County court if he's decided to accept a plea deal in a case where he is charged with DWI and fleeing the scene. The incident happened last February and the charges Sullivan faces are all misdemeanors. The details of the plea agreement have not been made public. If Sullivan does not accept the plea, a trial is likely to follow.

Demjanjuk Arrives in Germany to Face Accusations:
Suspected Nazi death camp guard John Demjanjuk has arrived in Germany this morning. The 89 year-old retired Ohio autoworker will be formally arrested, to face a warrant accusing him of being an accessory to the murder of 29,000 people during World War II. He insists he's innocent.

Soldier Kills 5 At US Base in Baghdad:
Military officials say a U.S. soldier killed 5 other soldiers at a counseling center in Iraq. A military official says that the soldier, a sergeant, had been disarmed after an earlier incident. He later returned to the center with another weapon. The shooting happened at Camp Liberty, outside Baghdad. The attack is drawing attention to the issues of combat stress and morale among soldiers serving multiple combat tours.

New Top Commander In Afghanistan:
The news U.S. commander in Afghanistan Lieutenant General Stanley McChrystal has his first full day in office today. He replaces General David McKiernan. Defense Secretary Robert Gates says he asked McKiernan to resign. The Pentagon says the U.S. needs a new top general in Afghanistan to get "fresh eyes on the problem." Gates added a change in leadership is needed as the U.S. tries to turn around its 7 year-old campaign against the Taliban.
