Capital Project High Priority For Utica School Board Candidates :
For several weeks, five school board candidates vying for Utica's soon to be vacated seat have been campaigning. Whoever is elected will have a big say in major school issues and even tax changes in the near future. They all say that the $187 million capital project is priority number one. They say that it needs added oversight given problems with older projects that didn't address problems fully such as leaky roofs. The winning candidate will take over a seat vacated by Dianne Dimeo.

KISS FM Keeps Format; Announces Lineup Changes:
KISS-FM is still KISS-FM. Last week the station announced it would be coming to an end and switching formats. Monday, the air staff went on the air for about two and half hours playing songs from decades past until coming clean and admitting it was a ploy to promote the station's new morning crew and lineup changes.

Partnership Plan Meeting Tonight:
Big crowds are expected at tonight's Partnership Plan hearing. The plan has sparked fierce debate among residents, politicians and nation leaders. The public meeting is being held at Vernon-Verona-Sherrill High School Monday night. It starts at 6:30 p-m.

Rome Man Suffered Cardiac Arrest in Accident:
New today, Rome Police have released the name of the man who died Sunday in an early morning car accident. Investigators say 56 year-old Michael Boulanger of Rome was heading west on Chestnut Street when he suffered cardiac arrest. The car left the road and into a field where it hit a tree. He was pronounced dead at Rome Memorial Hospital.

Buckle Up New York!:
Police agencies across the state are making sure you remember to buckle up when you get in the car! It's all part of their "Click It or Ticket" initiative. State Police and other law enforcement departments say they'll be conducting safety-restraint checkpoints and patrols during the next two weeks. Troopers say that the seat belt is your lifeline should you be in an accident, even a minor one.
