Lines around the block for Oneida County H1N1 clinic

(WKTV) - The first Oneida County H1N1 vaccine clinic is happening Wednesday and is for people in priority groups only.

Lines were around the block well before the clinic opened Wednesday morning. The clinic goes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Oneida County Office building in Utica. however, just because it's called an "open" clinic doesn't mean everyone can get the shot.

The vaccines are being given out to priority groups only.

Those groups include:

- Pregnant women.
- Children six months to 18-years of age.
- Parents and caregivers of children under six months of age.
- Persons 19 to 24 years of age.
- Those people 25 to 64 years of age who are at risk for medical complications due to underlying conditions.
- Healthcare workers, nurses, and emergency services personnel who have direct patient contact.
