Energy efficiency help available for smaller and mid-sized businessesUTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - If you're a business owner, there are ways to make your business more energy efficient with help from New York State. But the problem is - a lot of smaller- to mid-sized business owners don't know the help is available, or how to get it. That's why the Mohawk Valley Chamber of Commerce brought business owners together with representatives of the New York State Energy Research Development Agency Friday at Utica's Radisson Hotel. Roughly 30 people from 20 local businesses attended the energy seminar to learn more about how to access that money. "NYSERDA has incentive programs that can provide direct cash assistance for customers to implement efficiency programs or conservation equipment into their facilities," said Chris Carrick, coordinator with Energy Smart Communities.
