(WKTV/NBC) - Even after you throw the switch on many of your appliances, they're still using electricity. 

It's called phantom power. If you're interested in saving money on your electric bills, you may want to look into a device called the "Green Switch."

The Green Switch saves money by turning off items when you are not around including those that use a lot of electricity like big screen TV's.

It's possible to save from 25% to 50%.
