John Edwards announces candidacy for New York Mills Village Trustee
NEW YORK MILLS, N.Y. (WKTV) - A New York Mills man has announced that he will run for the position of Village Trustee.
John Edwards, 45, a lifelong resident of New York Mills, announced his candidacy for the trustee position late Sunday night. "As your Trustee, I will devote myself to making New York Mills an even better place to live," he said in a written announcement. "Just like you, my family and I love New York Mills and we share your values. I would like to give back to the village that means so much to me by serving as your Trustee." "I believe in the call to serve your community and it is with this that I believe I can make a difference in our community and impact the lives of all those who live in the village of New York Mills." Among his listed accomplishments, Edwards is an honorary member of the Honorary member of the New York Mills Fire Department, a member of New York Mills Zoning Board of Appeals for 10 Years, a member of New York Mills Village Master Plan Committee for five years, a member of the Leadership Excellence Committee at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare, a member of the Engineering Management Team at Faxton St.-Luke's Healthcare, a past president of New York Mills Little League, a past chairman of the New York Mills Varsity Football Club, and owner of EPBmall.com -Product Brokerage Company. Edwards attended New York Mills High School and graduated in 1982. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army and served honorably for four years. After being discharged, he returned to New York Mills, where he started and raised a family. Edwards has been married to Peggy Stewart for 21 years and have two sons - Joshua and John. Their oldest son Joshua is a proud member of the United States Marine Corps. Their youngest son, John, has enlisted in the Marines and will be leaving for Boot Camp in October. Most Popular |
