Robert Sullivan is a candidate in the Republican Primary for Utica Mayor.


Robert Sullivan Jr. was born in Utica, New York. A 1978 graduate of Notre Dame High School, he received his Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Utica College in 1983. He has held positions as Utica Codes Commissioner, Utica City Clerk, and owner and manager of Thornberry's Restaurant, which was started by his father, Robert Sullivan Sr.


Sullivan has held elected positions on the Utica Common Council from 1992-1997, and has been a board member on Cornhill People United, the City of Utica Scenic and Historic Commission, as well as Downtown Utica Development Association, among others.
