Decision 2008

Andrew Donovan

COLUMBIA - NBC News is projecting that after the final votes are counted, Senator Barack Obama will win the Democratic Primary in South Carolina by a significant number. The victory is being called a racially-charged race as a precursor to Super Tuesday on February 5 where 1600 delegates are up for grabs.

Senator Hillary Clinton came in second after recent heated battles with the victor regarding race. Obama took about 80% of the black vote. Former Senator John Edwards came in third which is a set-back for him due to this being considered his back yard and birthplace.
