Illinois Senator Barack Obama has won the Wisconsin Primary. This will be the ninth consecutive primary or caucus win for him over New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. On the republican ticket, Senator John McCain has won a substantial victory with former Governor Mike Huckabee being the closest contender by a wide margin.

56 delegates are also at stake in Washington state where only Republicans will go to the ballot boxes. Currently, John McCain is being projected as the winner in this state of Mike Huckabee. Voters also went to the polls in Hawaii, where 20 delegates were stake.

In a victory speech in Texas, Obama said that the economy and trade were primary issues in this long-lasting presidential race. 70% of voters said that international trade has resulted in loosing jobs in Wisconsin. "Houston, I think we've achieved liftoff," he began over a massive crowd.

He tied Clinton in what was considered her strongest supporting demographic which are white women and also won within working class voters. Clinton is campaigning in Ohio where it is being considered a must-win election which will be held on March 4.
