Three wins revive flagging Clinton campaign

WASHINGTON (AP) - After a dozen defeats to Barack Obama,
Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton is making a comeback with primary
wins in Texas, Ohio and Rhode Island.

In the Republican race, Arizona Senator John McCain clinched the
Republican nomination.

Clinton's triple-triumph ended a month of losses for the former first lady. She told jubilant supporters in Ohio, "We're going on, we're going strong and we're going all the way."

Obama won the Vermont primary. He sought to counter Clinton's claims that the night has altered the political equation, telling supporters in Texas that his campaign has "nearly the same delegate lead" as it did before.

Both Democrats called Senate colleague McCain to congratulate him on his triumph in the Republican race.
