UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Tim Freeman, a nearby resident, posted this video of the fatal James Street fire on YouTube.

On NEWSChannel 2's Facebook page, Freeman wrote, "It was so close to me, I thought it was going to spread to my building. I put my clothes on and ran outside with my cat. The fire burned all night. I had never seen a fire burn for that long. It must have been three hours. It was very cold and dry last night which probably fueled the fire. Luckily, the smoke billowed up and over me instead of blowing towards my apartment."
