With a lead of more than double the votes, current District Attorney, Scott McNamara is the projected winner of the Oneida County District Attorney Race. With 98% of the districts reporting shortly before 11 p.m., McNamara had a total of 32,396 votes. Longeretta at that point had 15,819.

McNamara voted early this morning, then headed to his mother's Deansboro Diner for breakfast. While he's not in the office, the phone still rings.  Among the well wishers-- Congressman Michael Arcuri.

David Longeretta spent time in Rome before heading to his former New Hartford elementary school to vote, and greet voters.

"It's exciting," Longeretta said. "I'm really, really enjoying it. It's allowing me to get out to meet all the workers... to get to all the polls... to meet more people, shake more hands get my message across and i think it's resonated throughout the county."
