UTICA - We wrap up our three-part look back on Utica Mayor Tim Julian's time in office with a look ahead at what's next for the outgoing mayor.

"I want to thank the voters for giving me my youthful exuberance back," Julian said.

The outgoing mayor's starting to think maybe he did win on election night., especially when it came to his kids.

"To be honest with you, it'll be nice to be able to sit down with my kids to breakfast or lunch or dinner and pay all 100% attention to them throughout the entire meal rather than having someone come up and tell me about their tree or their sidewalk or their driveway," he said.

That's not to say Julian didn't love being the city's 74th mayor - he did. But it definitely wasn't a nine to five job, with a round-the-clock committment that did come with some definite perks.

"I have a picture on my wall at home of my oldest son high-fiving Al Gore," I have you know pictures of myself with Governor Pataki, people like Rudy Giuliani you know, the opportunity to meet the president."

Being mayor also gave Julian an opportunity to see who real friends were

"I made some friends in this business and i've lost some friends in this business. The ones i'm walking out the door with are not the same ones I came in with and that's the nature of this business if you do it the right way."

He might be leaving the mayor's office, but is it Utica Mayor Tim Julian's final farewell to all politics?

"Am I every gonna run again? I honestly don't know. At this point in time I can't say I'm going to, I can't say I'm not going to."
