Attorney General asks court to review decision on power line construction
Attorney General Andrew Cuomo has asked a court to review a decision to boost power line construction in the state. Cuomo's petition was filed with the court of appeals yesterday. Earlier this month, the Department of Energy denied the state's requests for a re-hearing on its decision to declare much of the state part of a "National Interest Electric Transmission Corridor." Opponents, particularly those fighting New York Regional Interconnect's proposed line from the Utica area to Orange County, say the lines unnecessary. |
