UTICA - A Utica woman accused of stabbing her husband to death made a court appearance Monday morning. Jady Voce is now facing charges of first-degree manslaughter.

Voce was re-arraigned Monday morning at Utica City Court for allegedly stabbing her husband - Joseph Voce - early Sunday morning. She was brought in for arraignment Sunday, but she didn't have legal counsel present.

Currently, she is being held in Oneida County Jail on $30,000 bail.

Cameras were not allowed in the courtroom Monday, but many family members of Voce and her husband packed almost half of the seating area.

According to police, it appears a dispute started between Voce and her husband in their home on Saratoga Street in Utica around 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

Police say the couple headed up Court Street toward Lenox Avenue, and that's where the alleged stabbing took place. Police say a knife was used to stab Joseph Voce, and he had stab wounds to his lower abdomen.

Crews rushed him to Saint Elizabeth Medical Center - where he later died from his injuries. We're told the couples four children were at home when this all happened.

Their eldest son was in court Monday and says the family does not have a comment at this time. All of the children are safe and staying with other family members.

As for Voce, she will be back in Utica City Court on Thursday for a felony hearing.
