Trio of suspects in credit union heist waive right to felony hearing

By DAVID DELLECESE

MARCY - The three suspects in last week's robbery of the Beacon Federal Credit Union have waived their right to a felony hearing. The case will now go before an Oneida County Grand Jury.

According to Oneida County Sheriff's, on April 8, a white male suspect, since then identified as Joseph Cittadino, allegedly entered the bank and passed a note to the teller demanding money and stating he had a weapon. The teller handed over the money, which was approximately $11,000.

Cittadino allegedly fled the bank on foot, running across a field where he then got into a red mustang which was waiting down the road.

Jessica Tomb and Ricardo Carollo, who are said to have been waiting in the red mustang, turned themselves in shortly after the robbery.

Cittadino was arrested later that evening near the Albany area after Sheriff's Deputies say he took a cab to the Albany area, where he was later arrested.

All three were charged with robbery in the first-degree.
