Inmate Testifies: Wesley Molina-Cirino said his cousin did it; trial date set

Dave Dellecese

UTICA - It's day two of the Huntley Wade hearing for Wesley Molina-Cirino - the man accused of killing Utica Police Officer Thomas Lindsey in April.

Prosecutors called two inmates from Oneida County and Syracuse who ran into Cirino following the death of Officer Lindsey.

A man once serving at the Oneida County jail talked about Cirino's conversations with other inmates...discussions he over heard.

The next inmate to testify said he spoke a great deal with Cirino in Syracuse and that Cirino was very interested in discussing the homicide, watching television reports on the murder, and saying that his "cousin" did it.

A trial date for Molina-Cirino has been set for March 3.
