UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Utica Police Department's revisiting of their top ten "cold cases" begins with a 25 year old homicide at a local college campus that has remained unsolved to this day.

On January 26th, 1984 Utica Police were sent to a parking lot at Utica College where the body of Robert P. Cervo was discovered in the backseat of his vehicle.

Cervo, 52, of Whitesboro, was employed by Conrail.

The cause of death was blunt force trauma “with intracranial hemorrhage”. According to records Cervo was survived by his wife and several children and step children.

Police are asking that anyone with information on this case call the Utica Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division at 315-223-3510.

Police say calls can be kept confidential.
