CNY Remembers:Hundreds attend Genesis Prayer Breakfast to commemorate September 11

WHITESBORO, N.Y. (WKTV) - It was a somber breakfast Friday morning in Whitesboro to remember those who lost their lives on September 11th 2001.

The Genesis Group held a Regional Prayer Breakfast at Hart's Hill Inn on Friday that brought together local military members, law enforcement, firefighters and emergency responders.

Genesis Executive Director Ray Durso says this a perfect way to reflect on a sad time in American history.

"It reminds us to prioritize things in life," Durso said. "So an event like this is helpful for us personally and professionally, to put our lives in perspective and appreciate what we have."

About 300 people from Oneida and Herkimer Counties attended Friday's event.
