Tenney: Hurried passage of NY SAFE Act puts the region in "great distress"
By WKTV News

ALBANY, N.Y. (WKTV) - Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney
issued a letter to Gov. Andrew Cuomo Wednesday urging him to consider the "great distress that the hurried passage of the NY SAFE Act has caused the people who live and work in the Mohawk Valley."

In the letter she states that the fears of Remington Arms leaving the community are "realistic."

"These law-abiding and hardworking New Yorkers truly fear, not only for the future of their company, but also for their families and generations who have called New York home. I urge you to take action to prevent the possible loss of a proven manufacturing company from our state....

"It is my hope that, as a self-professed owner of a Remington-made
shotgun, you also take equal pride in a quality product made by the hardworking residents of New York State" her letter stated.
