Claudia Tenney sworn-in as 115th Assemblywoman
NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - Claudia Tenney has been sworn in as the state assembly representative for the 115th District.
Tenney replaces longtime Assemblyman David Townsend who represented the 115th District since 1991. Townsend ran unsuccessfully for Oneida County Sheriff in November.
Tenney was sworn in by the new Herkimer County Family Court Judge John Brennan. The swearing-in ceremony took place at the American Legion on Clinton Street in New Hartford.
The 115th District represents a wide area from New Hartford, west to the suburbs of Syracuse.
Tenney is familiar with the office she now holds. She served as outgoing Assemblyman David Townsend's chief of staff and legal counsel for six years.
