Sylvia Rowan sworn in as Herkimer County Clerk

HERKIMER, N.Y. (WKTV) - At a ceremony held Wednesday morning, Sylvia Rowan was sworn in as the Herkimer County Clerk, a position she has held for 16 years.

As she took office for another term, Rowan said one of her focuses will be on improving technology at the clerk's office.

"We are also trying to do more of our records online so people can access their information from home," said Rowan.

Rowan said she is also working to secure a grant for the office in Old Forge.

She will serve a four year term.
