Peter Sobel elected to Oneida County Republican Chairperson
ONEIDA COUNTY, N.Y. (WKTV) - Oneida County has a new Republican chairperson.
On September 24, The Oneida County Republican Committee held its organizational meeting at Harts Hill Inn, unanimously electing Peter Sobel of Whitestown as the new county chairperson. Sobel replaces George Mitchell of Utica, who did not seek re-election for the position.
A life long resident of Whtiestown and Oneida County, Sobel is employed at Special Metals as Director of Sales and Marketing and also serves as the Chief of the Whitesboro Fire Department.
"I am honored to be chosen to lead the Oneida County Republican Committee and I look forward to working with our elected officials and committee members to advance interests of the Republican Party," Sobel said.
Sobel will serve a two year term and selected Mary Pratt of New Hartford to serve as his vice chairperson.
