Whitesboro High School receives grant for nano-technology program
WHITESBORO, N.Y. (WKTV) - Whitesboro High School is one of only about 20 schools nationwide Alion Science and Technology chose for a grant to advance the school nano-technology program.
A company official on Thursday presented the school with a $2,500 check. The division manager says the idea is to train students in an industry which will allow them to stay in their hometown upon graduating college.
"The industry in this area is really looking toward nano-technology as a future and we really are training the kids in an industry they can come home to," says Dino Cencetti.
Alion is based in Virginia, with offices in Rome.
