National Federation of Independent Business pleased by 2013 State of the State
ALBANY, N.Y. - Mike Durant, State Director for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), New York’s leading advocate for small business owners, today issued the following statement in response to Governor Andrew Cuomo’s State of the State Address:
"NFIB is pleased that Governor Cuomo remains committed to fiscal responsibility and economic development. NFIB remains staunchly opposed to any and all efforts to increase the minimum wage and we are disappointed that the Governor used his address to make that a priority.
“We applaud the Governor's focus on regulatory reform, particularly on unemployment insurance and workers compensation. We remain committed to working with the Governor to revitalize our great State and help small business flourish."
