National Federation of Independent Business/NY responds to 2012 State of the State

By WKTV News

Mike Durant, State Director of the National Federation of Independent Business/New York released a response to Governor Andrew Cuomo's 2012 State of the State address:

“Today’s State of the State address reaffirms Governor Cuomo’s commitment to revitalizing New York’s economy and reigning in state spending, a message that is encouraging to both small business owners and taxpayers alike. Through bipartisan cooperation, great strides were made in 2011, but the work is not finished. The agenda brought forth today aims to continue the positive momentum and position New York as a national leader in these difficult economic times.

The Governor highlighted the continued need for responsible state spending, right-sizing government and revitalizing New York’s economy, all measures that NFIB has been steadfast in supporting. From pension reform to the critical need for mandate relief, the Governor has, yet again, issued a bold plan that will continue the economic resurgence that the State needs and keep more money in taxpayer pockets.

NFIB commends Governor Cuomo’s pledge in making New York more affordable for employers, taxpayers and families alike by reducing the cost of both government and doing business in our state.”
