COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. (WKTV) - Democrat and Working Families Congressional candidate Julian Schreibman toured Main Street in the Village of Cooperstown on Friday with Mayor Jeffrey Katz.
Schreibman is seeking the 19th Congressional District seat and spent the day getting to know main street business owners, their needs and concerns.
"Across this wonderful rural district that we have that stretches from here all the way to the Vermont border, it's the interests of small businesses and farmers and those interests just aren't being heard in Washington," Schreibman said. "They're being drowned out by the biggest, loudest, richest voices."
Schreibman is currently practicing law with a downstate firm, was a federal prosecutor and worked for the CIA.
He will go up against Republican Incumbent Chris Gibson in November.
