Hanna sworn in to represent 22nd Congress
WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Representative Richard Hanna (R), took the oath of office on the floor of the House of Representatives to serve New York’s new 22nd Congressional District. New York’s 22nd Congressional District includes all of Chenango, Cortland, Madison and Oneida counties, and parts of Broome, Herkimer, Oswego and Tioga counties. Hanna said, “It is a great privilege to serve the new 22nd Congressional District of New York. I am committed to serving the best interests of all citizens in the eight counties of our district. Through transparent decision making and increased accessibility, we are committed to the basic belief that this office works for you. We remain dedicated to assisting constituents and working hard on your behalf to promote fiscally responsible policies that help make upstate New York a place of opportunity and prosperity.” Hanna was first elected in 2012 to represent the 24th District. This is the first year the new district lines take effect.
