Utica Common Council approves permit to sell beer at Proctor Park July 4th celebration

By WKTV News

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The City of Utica's Fourth of July celebration at Proctor Park will not be a dry one.

The Utica Common Council held a special meeting at Noon on Thursday to approve a resolution that will allow beer to be served during the July 4 festivities. The proper permits take one month to secure, so the deadline to apply would have been Monday. That means the council couldn't wait until the regular Wednesday meeting to vote on the resolution.
