Hartwick man killed in two-car accident in Town of Otsego

OTSEGO, N.Y. (WKTV) - An Otsego County resident has been killed following a motor vehicle accident in the Town of Otsego late Monday night.

According to New York State Police, the accident happened on County Route 22 in the Town of Otsego around 10:50 p.m. on August 19.

Authorities said George P. Dahrough, 52 of Exeter was driving a 1995 Ford westbound on Route 22 when he crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic striking a 1990 Toyota driven by Jesse D. Snyder, 62 of Richfield Springs.

A passenger in the Toyota - Cole D. Snyder, 36, of Hartwick was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jesse Snyder was transported by Schuyler Lake Ambulance to Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown where he was listed in critical condition as of Tuesday evening.

George Dahrough was also transported by Cooperstown Medical Transport to Bassett Hospital with minor injuries.

The New York State Police Troop "C" Collision Reconstruction Unit assisted at the scene and the cause of the collision remains under investigation.
