Man extricated from vehicle, taken to hospital after Westmoreland accident

WESTMORELAND, N.Y. (WKTV) - A man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries following a one-vehicle accident in Westmoreland on Thursday.

The accident, which involved only one vehicle, an SUV, occurred on Cider Street in Westmoreland around 11 a.m. A man was extricated from the vehicle by the Westmoreland Fire Department and was transported to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Department is handling the investigation into what caused the accident.

The name of the man has not yet been released as of this writing.
