Pilot safe after plane crashes into Seventh Lake

INLET, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Federal Aviation Administration could be headed to Inlet to investigate a plane crash Tuesday morning.
Authorities say the crash happened in the area of Seventh Lake Road in Seventh Lake when a sea plane went down in the water just before 10 am.
Fortunately, officials say the pilot was able to get out of the water and safely to land, but a helicopter was called to the scene.
There is no word at this time on what caused the plane to crash into the lake.
