Sherburne man killed after motorcycle and vehicle collide

NORTH NORWICH, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Sherburne man is dead after authorities say his motorcycle and a car collided in the Town of North Norwich on Saturday.

According to the Chenango County Sheriff's Office, the accident happened around 6:45 p.m. on State Route 12 in North Norwich on Saturday, September 8.

Authorities say David A. Klingman, 38, of Sherburne was driving his motorcycle northbound on State Route 12 when it crossed over the center line and struck a southbound sedan being driven by Allen Marsters, 73, also of Sherburne. Marsters and his passenger, Joyce Post, 69, of Sherburne, were uninjured.

Klingman was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Chenango County Medical Examiner.

The Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by the North Norwich Fire Department and the City of Norwich Ambulance.
